Versatility of the Intelligenx Discovery Engine is demonstrated at Gazeta Mercantil site with indexing and searching daily news
Brasilia, Brazil, October 31, 2006 . Gazeta Mercantile, Brazil's leading business newspaper and Intelligenx, a leader in enterprise search solutions, today announced the launch of a new real-time news application designed to search and display current and archived news stories. Users of www.gazetamercantil.com.br now have access to the latest news stories using the full text, faceted search capabilities of the Intelligenx Discovery Engine. By default, the home page offers the latest and most important news and editorial content. In addition, users can search all the daily news using a single search box. Results are categorized by date and time, publication, editorial and sector. Gazeta Mercantil is also in the process of indexing more than 6 million archived news stories and will make this available to its Internet users in the near future.
The application was developed jointly by Intelligenx and Gazeta Mercantil. The newspaper's application is written using Microsoft's.NET platform and interfaces directly with the Intelligenx Discovery Engine.
